EPD Busts Meth LabEnid Police were dispatched to 1754 Meadowbrook early Saturday morning in response to a concerned citizen believing that the residents were manufacturing methamphetamine. Officers made contact with the resident, Robert Lash age 43. Officer Barber noticed a strong odor of ether coming from inside the residence. This odor is associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine. Lash had several blister packs of pseudoephedrine tablets in his pockets. Enid narcotic detectives were called to the scene due to the fact that there may be an active lab inside of the house. Narcotic Sgt. Rick Tanner said that they located four inactive labs and one lab that appeared to be active. He described the labs as being a “One Pot” method. “One Pot method labs are extremely volatile and can be explosive. We take every precaution to insure public safety when dealing with these types of labs especially”, stated Sgt. Tanner. He said that they discovered different components in other areas of the house that were used in other methods of manufacturing methamphetamine. He said that they could tell that these labs had been in operation for quite some time. Barber learned that Lash was previously convicted of manufacturing a controlled dangerous substance. Lash was arrested and charged under a new law that makes it unlawful for anyone previously convicted of manufacturing a controlled dangerous substance to even possess any amount of pseudoephedrine. Lash was also charged with manufacturing a controlled dangerous substance. Officers arrested Laura Conway who was also at the residence. She was charged with manufacturing a controlled dangerous substance and a Garfield County warrant.
