The Route 60 Sentinel will be presenting a piece on positive body image and self esteem.  We thought maybe the most effective way to do this would be to showcase women of different sizes and shapes in a fun pin up girl style calendar as well as a photo gallery.  But that’s not all.  It’s not that easy.  Each woman that participates will give a testimony about her own self image.  That’s not as easy as it sounds – almost every woman I know has issues with her own body and some have even said to me, “I’m not where I can talk about it yet.” For some, just doing the photo shoots will be a huge step outside their comfort zone.  Others are super excited about it.

The calendars will be out before the end of the year and they will be released at a Pin Up Party where the girls will all be there to sign them and meet everyone.  Dawn Muncy has agreed to do the photography and Jennifer Berkenbile is contributing her styling expertise.  Proceeds from the calendars will go to CDSA to assist them in continuing their humanitarian efforts in Enid.

We’ll give more details soon, but wanted to let you in on the fun.  If you are interested in participating – please contact me at  There are a few spots left for the calendar and many for the photo gallery.  We have also discussed the possibility of turning the project into a book.  We are also looking for sponsors to have ads on each month’s page.
