Austin Box Tribute

September 17, 2011
Doak Campbell Stadium, TALLAHASSEE, FL –

Kenny Stills, fresh off suspension, stood in the end zone.  He was watching a pass coming to him from potential Heisman candidate Quarterback Landry Jones.  Stills jumped high.  Caught the ball.  Sealed the victory for the number 1 Oklahoma Sooners on the road against a tough Florida State University team.

Jones, struggled at times, throwing 2 interceptions, but the 1 TD certainly helped matters.  But the biggest accomplishment for Jones came the University of Oklahoma’s all time passing leader, surpassing Heisman winner and Sooner legend Sam Bradford.

The Sooners defense did another stellar job, getting physical with the FSU.  FSU only managed to get two field goals and one TD thrown by assistant coach Rick Trickett’s son, Clint Trickett.

Let’s take a look at the stats for the game.  Interesting to note that Stills, in his first game back managed to garner more yards than Ryan Broyles.
