Enid Public LIbrary

To kick off the holiday season the Public Library of Enid and Garfield County is hosting a Holiday Celebration on the First Friday of December, December 7, 2012.  From 6-8 p.m. the library will have school choirs singing Christmas carols, a craft show with vendors, hot cocoa, Christmas movies, and Santa and his elf!  The library will also pass out reindeer food to children for Christmas Eve.

In addition, the ‘mitten tree’ located in the library is open for individuals to donate handmade and store purchased mittens, gloves, scarves, and hats which will go to children and teens at Enid, Chisholm and Pioneer schools.

On Friday, December 14th at 10 a.m. and December 28th at 4 p.m. needle arts enthusiasts are invited to attend the NeedleArts group to work on their donations to the mitten tree.  If any businesses are willing to host a “mitten box” to collect donations, please contact Jade Powell at 580-616-7187 or email JPowell@Enid.org.
