Leonardo’s Children’s Museum is offering free admission Saturday during regular hours from 10 a.m.—5 p.m.  Adventure Quest will also be open, weather permitting.

“Quarterly free days at Leonardo’s are new this year, and were made possible by increased annual operational support from the City of Enid,” commented Julie Baird, Executive Director.  “We really appreciate Mayor Bill Shewey and the Enid City Commission for their commitment to making Leonardo’s accessible for all area children and families.”

During the three previous free days (September 16, November 21, and February 18), Leonardo’s has averaged more than 700 visitors per day.  “We always pick a school holiday or during some community event to allow for greater impact,” added Baird.

Weekend Wonders, free science demonstrations sponsored by McDonald’s of Enid, will take place at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday.  Also, a giant “Lite Brite” arrived this week and is the final piece of the new “Tinkering @ Leonardo’s” permanent exhibit which opened March 15th.  “Tinkering is fun for the whole family,” said Baird.  “We are so grateful to the exhibit title sponsor Oklahoma Museum Network, funded by the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation, for making this Tinkering possible for the children of northwest Oklahoma,” Baird concluded

Finally, early registration is underway for Camp Leonardo’s Summer Camp.  There is a 20% tuition discount for enrollments paid by April 30.  Additional discounts are available for Leonardo’s members and families enrolling more than one child in the program.  Leonardo’s will host nine weeks of camp this coming summer, six art weeks and three science weeks.  Camp scholarships are also available with demonstrated need.
