Global Spectrum the managers of Enid Event Center have announced The Enid Roller Girls (Enid, OK) will take on Roughneck Roller Derby (Tulsa, OK) in their final home bout at 7:00pm Saturday, September 28th at Enid Event Center. Tickets go on sale Friday August 2nd, 2013 at 10am at $10 for General Admission in advance or $12 day of the bout at the door. Doors will open at 6:00pm with full concessions available. The Enid Roller Girls are a part of the South Central Region of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), the NFL of roller derby.

“We are excited about this partnership with The Enid Roller Girls to host their final bout of the season,” Keller Taylor, General Manager for Global Spectrum General at Enid Event Center said. “Bringing a roller derby to Enid Event Center in our first year of events, shows the variety that are possible and we hope to build a long lasting relationship with the Roller Girls well past this single bout.”

The Enid Roller Girls formed in the fall of 2010 with a small group of women. The team now consists of 15 members and one coach. “This bout will be our first Sanctioned WFTDA bout. That means it will count towards our International WFTDA rankings,” Coach Schoogz Knight of The Enid Roller Girls said about the September 28th finale. “We are also very excited to be playing at the Enid Event Center. It will be a great game to see at a great venue!”

The first 250 fans into Enid Event Center on September 28th will receive a free cowbell, sponsored by Pete Ramos Photography. In addition The Enid Roller Girls are active in supporting charitable organizations, and are going to donate a portion of the proceeds from the bout to the local Enid YWCA.
