ENID:

Tri-State Parade to Move:

One of the most beloved Enid events, steeped in so much tradition, will continue to endure changes.  Remember your childhood?  Well, forget your childhood and memories. Going to the carnival in between the Post Office and the Courthouse…(thanks for ruining that Timmy McVeigh!!)  The carnival was moved to a parking lot over by the Q-Spot after that, which sucked, and I believe last year it was at the Mall, which sucked even worse.  And of course, we all remember the parade when we were young.  It had so many bands.  I believe last year, they had 2.  Up 1 from the previous year.

So, here’s the solution:  The parade that has been held on Saturday mornings for years, will now be held on Friday, sometime after 4 pm….whenever a drum competition ends at the ballpark.  So…Friday, May 2nd, sometime after 4pm.  Okie dokie.  But where is the carnival going to set up?  Can I suggest it set up at Jumbo’s East parking lot?  Because….why not?

Get out of the house and go find something to do.  As a friend often says, “There’s Never Nothing to do in Enid!”
