The Enid Enforcers scored a victory against the Queen City Grizzlies in the season opener in front of a the home fan sat D. Bruce Selby Stadium Saturday night.

Both teams got off to a slow start, not scoring at all in the entire first half.  The half was marred by several miscues by Queen City that the Enforcers failed to capitalize on.  For their own part, the Enforcers seemed to sputter and could not get the offense going.  The half ended with the offense on the Grizzlies 11/2 yard line after a failed pass attempt into the end zone that seemed to baffle the home crowd.

But it was a crazy second half.  The Enforcers scored a TD, kicked a quick onside kick, recovered and ended up adding a field goal in the third.  In the fourth, Queen City scored on a tipped pass in the end zone.  They went for the two point conversion and failed.  Ultimately, however, they gained two points when the Enforcers snapped the ball on a punt attempt and it went out of the back of the end zone.  Safety for the Grizzlies.

In the end, the Enforcers prevailed.  Your final score was 11-8.
